Electrical design engineer

Mandate

The Electrical Engineer works in a team with other Engineers and Technicians to design, prepare and execute automation and control projects.

Your role

  • Prepare technical specifications including user needs analysis, functional analysis and design specifications for automated industrial systems and equipment
  • Design low-voltage electrical distribution and control panels
  • Carry out the commissioning of automated systems from an engineering point of view
  • Supervise electrical contractors
  • Check control panel
  • Provide support to customers regarding delivered systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, automated production or training deemed equivalent
  • Good knowledge of the Quebec Electrical Code
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience
  • English and French spoken and written
  • Member in good standing of the OIQ
  • Mobility for occasional commissioning (mainly in the Montreal metropolitan area).
